Asheville High School Track and Turf expenditures
Good Afternoon,
I would like to request to know the cost, and the breakdown of costs, of both the track and turf project that happened at Asheville High School in 2008 / 2009.
I would also like to know if it was a capital improvement expenditure from the Asheville City School District, or a capital outlay from Buncombe County, or a school expenditure (that seems farfetched because it must have cost at least a million dollars, and I can't imagine the high school athletic department operates a budget like that.)
I believe the new turf field installed this past summer (2018) cost around a million dollars, and was a capital expense for ACS. I assume the track would be as well, and it is in dangerously bad shape, and was badly damaged by the installation of the new turf, and it has not been, and likely cannot be, repaired.
Thank you so much for the information.
