(August 2020) Request for info related to “City of Asheville Disparity Study stipend payments and selection processes” as of 08/03/20
Hi City of Asheville, NC Government,
I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:
It is my belief that the City's Equity and Inclusion Department selected and provided a taxpayer funded stipend to a co-facilitator, and to menders [sic] of the study group. I'd like to know:
1) How were the members and co-facilitator chosen?
2) Who were the members and co-facilitator?
3) How much were the stipends?
Please provide the most responsive records during the requested time period of 08/01/2018 - 08/03/2020.

The answers to your questions are:
1. Two possible facilitators were contacted. One was not available. The other was selected.
2. The contractor was Artists Designing Evolution, LLC (Cortina Caldwell) and the members (subcontractors) were selected by Ms. Caldwell.
3. The suggested stipend was $25.00 per hour.
