(August 2020) Request for Town of Sylva – communications regarding Confederate Monument at Sylva, NC Courthouse as of 07/31/20

Hello Town of Sylva, NC Government,

I’d like to make a a public records request for the following information:

Please provide all communications sent to or from all Town Commissioners, the Town Manager, the Chief of Police, and any other Town Staff, in regards to the Confederate Monument located at the Courthouse in Sylva, NC. Please provide any responsive records during the time period of 07/01/20 - 07/31/20.

    Before we can mark this request as “Completed”, however – we’d like to ask for clarification regarding the following points:

     

    The request asked for “all communications sent to or from all Town Commissioners, the Town Manager, the Chief of Police, and any other Town Staff, in regards to the Confederate Monument located at the Courthouse in Sylva, NC” during the requested time period of 07/01/20 – 07/31/20.

     

    The files you’ve sent back do not seem to include any email records. Can you please clarify whether there are any responsive email records, or if there are responsive files which will now need to continue to be processed?
