Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which is being made in accordance with NC Public Records Law.

** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I am NOT asking to come in person to inspect, nor to obtain a printed copy of, these electronic records. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via an electronic medium / format (in which the copy of these records should already exist).
I do not have any further clarifying info I wish to provide to narrow this request. If the request is unclear, or if you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of the request, then please specifically cite where a reason for its denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
A. Please provide employee names and salaries for ALL current Lincoln County, NC Government employees, as of 08/03/2023 or present day [date the query is performed]. Please include the following:
1) Employee’s first / last name.
2) Employee’s current job Position / Title / Department.
3) Employee’s date of hire.
4) Current Salary (including hourly wage, hourly rate, or salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee)
B. In addition to the above, I’d also like to request that the same salary data is provided, specific to ALL employees of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Ideally, this info should be indicated within an additional tab or section on the spreadsheet above (or as a separate spreadsheet), showing salary data for the Sheriff’s Office specifically.
Ideally, I’d like to receive all the responsive records in an Excel or machine-readable format, if possible.
If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.

** On a personal note -- I'd like to suggest again that up-to-date salary data is proactively made “public” on the County’s website or data dashboard, so that it does not have to be obtained via repeated public records requests. It is in the public interest to provide this type of info, and it would also help to reduce staff time to fulfill requests.
