Community Development Division
Hello,
I would like to make a request about the Community Development Division at the City of Asheville. I am grateful for the City's focus on development of affordable housing, and would like to know more about the internal operations of the office that supports this focus.
This request has multiple parts:
1. A list of current staff and salaries in this division.
2. Numbers of paid leave days used per employee (listed by name for each employee) for the months July-December 2017.
3. Amount budgeted and spent per staff member (listed by name for each employee) for work-related travel July-December 2017. Also, please specify if any employee is assigned a city-owned vehicle.
4. List of key strategies which have been implemented to use Housing Bond funds.
Please provide this information by March 15 if you can.
Thank you very much.

I’ve included the attachment here. The link should be working now. Sometimes Google has a slow day.

Hello Sunshine,
There are a couple of things to address in this request so I’ll take it point by point.
1. Current staff for this division are available at the bottom of this page: http://www.ashevillenc.gov/departments/community/community_development/default.htm. Salaries for those employees can be found here: http://data.ashevillenc.gov/datasets/42bc533b43f94a65a04032fe84fa380b_10
2. Paid Leave days are part of the employee’s personnel file and are not public record according to G.S. 160A-168(a)
We will likely be able to provide 3 and 4 as long as they exist.
Additionally we have also received the skateboarding enforcement request.
Thanks,
—
