Hello Buncombe County, NC Sheriff's Department,
I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:
I'd like to know the total number of Buncombe County, NC Sheriff Office employees who have tested positive for COVID 19 during the specific time period of November 25, 2020 through December 7, 2020.
Additionally - If there are any positive test results, please specify how many of those same employees work in the Buncombe County, NC Courthouse.

The press release regarding the courthouse was based off info provided by Buncombe County Public Health.
So my answer to the remaining questions is I do not have any records responsive to this request.

Court Security Deputies in quarantine test negative for COVID-19
Asheville, N.C. (December 8, 2020) –
The eight Buncombe County Sheriff’s Deputies who have been in quarantine have all received negative results on their COVID-19 tests. The one Deputy who tested positive was released from isolation by Buncombe County Public Health staff this week.
We continue to work closely with staff from Buncombe County Public Health and Buncombe County Employee Health and anticipate that the Court Security Deputies will return to work later this week once all public health protocols have been followed.
Court Security Deputies wear masks at all times while working inside the courthouse and members of the public receive a temperature check when passing through security.
The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to follow the public health guidance to slow the spread of COVID-19 by staying six feet away from others outside your household, wearing face coverings and washing hands often. For information on COVID-19 testing in Buncombe County, click here.
