Good afternoon City of Brevard Government,
I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
If you’re not the appropriate party to contact about the request, please provide the correct name and email address of whom I should send it to.
Please confirm receipt to let me know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. I will plan on following up again in January if I have not heard back before then.
Here are the details of the request:
Subject: (December 2021) Request for City of Brevard, NC: Total recycling charges ($) collected from 01/01/21 – 10/01/21

I’d like to make a multi-part public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law:
A. Please provide the total recycling charges [$ amount] collected by the City of Brevard, NC from 01/01/21 through 10/01/21.
B. Additionally — Please break down the total recycling charges [$ amount] collected by the City for “Residential customers,” as well as the total for “Commercial customers” during the same time period.
** Please do not include any personally identifiable information. I am only requesting to know totals.
If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law.

[Editor’s Note to Brevard Gov:
Once again, we greatly appreciate that the City of Brevard has revised their policy and process with us since May 2021 regarding public records requests, bringing the City’s policy into alignment with NC Public Records Law.
We will continue to submit public records requests we receive through our site to the City Clerk. If the City would like to attach a name to our requests for internal record-keeping purposes, or to provide follow-up info, they may use “Sunshine Request” as the name, and contact us at this email address: ([email protected]).
** Please note: This is the only email that our small team uses to send or communicate about requests on our website. If the City receives any communications that are not from that specific address, then it won’t have come from us. Thank you!]”
Thank you for your assistance!
** Sunshine Request (www.sunshinerequest.com) makes no claim as to the veracity of any statements or information contained in any of the requests, or public records, we receive.
