City of Asheville Submitted: December 19, 2022 | Updated: January 4, 2023

(December 2022) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: “Historical Pay Data” for employees on 08/01/19, 08/01/20, 08/01/21, 06/01/22, 08/01/22.

Hello City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html

NOTE: If it isn't possible to query the records in the manner requested below, please let me know. Additionally – If any / all of the info is already publicly available online somewhere (such as the City's Open Data Portal), please provide a link to where it can be accessed.

Please provide “Historical Pay Data” for all employees, on each of the the following dates:

- August 01, 2019
- August 01, 2020
- August 01, 2021
- June 01, 2022
- August 01, 2022

Please include the employee’s name, base salary, job title, and department.

This request should also include all “exempt” and “non exempt” pay plans for the above years.

I am not requesting to come in person to inspect, nor to obtain printed copies of, electronic records. In accordance with NC Public Records Law, I’m requesting explicitly that all responsive records be provided via an electronic medium / format (in which the records should already exist), such as an email, file share, google drive folder, mailed flash drive if necessary, etc.

** I do not have any additional or further clarifying info to provide other than what you see in the message above. If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law.**
