  Hi Cleveland County PIO,

   

  It is unclear to me whether your response is meant to indicate you performed a search, and found there were “no responsive records” to fulfill my request? Or, are you saying some records exist but they’re “not available currently” — whatever this means. Can you please clarify?

   

  Under NC Public Records Law you are required to “promptly” process all public records requests. I want to highlight the court case referenced in item #6 of the following article, posted on the NC Press Association website.
