subject: Records Request: (February 2022) Request for Jackson County, NC Gov: All County Manager emails 11/22/21 – 11/24/21
Good afternoon Jackson County Public Records,
I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
Please confirm receipt to let me know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. I will plan on following up again at the end of the month if I have not heard back before then.
Here are the details of the request:
Subject: (February 2022) Request for Jackson County, NC Gov: All County Manager emails 11/22/21 – 11/24/21
Message: “Hi Jackson County, NC Government (Records Officer),
I’d like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Please provide ALL emails sent to and sent from Jackson County, NC County Manager, during the specific time period of 11/22/2021 through 11/24/2021. Specifically — I am only requesting emails which are NOT related to items that would be protected and confidential by law.
** As relates to emails – Please provide the files in a .PDF format so that they can easily be opened / viewed.
Please provide any .pdfs, other files, attachments, videos, hyperlinks, etc. that are indicated or referenced within the responsive records. For example: A .pdf that is an attachment within an email, should also be provided as a file along with the responsive emails. Or, a link should be provided so that the file can be opened.
If the records are ultimately too large to send via emailed file share, I’d ask that you please create a public Google Drive folder / link or some other file format to transfer the files electronically.
If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC public records law. **

** Please note that Sunshine Request cannot commit to pay any potential fees / associated costs related to any of the requests on their site. If it is not possible to process the request above without incurring fees, please let me know what the itemized potential costs may be — at which point Sunshine Request will ask that you cease processing the request. They will mark the request as “Completed” on their site, and I can contact you directly, should I wish to further pursue a request.
Thank you for your assistance!”
Thank you!
