Good afternoon NC Department of Insurance,
I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
If you’re not the appropriate party to contact about the request, please provide the correct name and email address of whom I should send it to.
Please confirm receipt to let me know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. I will plan on following up again around the end of the month if I have not heard back before then.
Here are the details of the request:
Subject: (February 2022) Request for NC Dept of Insurance: Email communications 11/01/2018 – 11/30/2021 all Emails from December 2018 to November 2021 between John G Cable and Oasis Shriners
Message: “Hello NC Dept. of Insurance (Records Officer),
I’d like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Please provide all emails sent between John G Cable (at NC Dept of Insurance) and any user mailbox at oasisshriners.org, during the specific time period of 11/01/2018 through 11/30/2021.
This request should also include, but is not limited to, any and all emails sent to or sent from John G Cable that contain references to “Shriners” during the same time period.

**As relates to emails – Please provide the files in a .PDF digital format so that they can easily be opened / viewed.
Please provide any .pdfs, other files, attachments, videos, hyperlinks, etc. that are indicated or referenced within the responsive records. For example: A .pdf that is an attachment within an email, should also be provided as a file along with the responsive emails. Or, a link should be provided so that the file can be opened.
If the records are ultimately too large to send via emailed file share, I’d ask that you please create a public Google Drive folder / link or some other file format to transfer the files electronically.
** I understand that due to the volume of this request, it could take some time to process. If possible, please provide an estimated timeline for completion. If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC public records law. **
Thank you for your assistance!”
Thank you!
