(February 2026) Request for Brunswick, NC Regional Water and Sewer H2GO: Lists of employee salaries and overtime.
Good evening Deana, Jennifer, Sara, Bob, (Records Officer / Custodian(s) of these Records),
I reviewed your records request form at https://www.h2gonc.gov/formcenter/communications-14/public-information-request-56. However, my request details literally do not fit into the form. Additionally, some of the “mandatory” fields on the form (phone #, address, name) are not required by Law in order for you to fulfill a request. I cannot submit the request to you in your preferred format. Therefore, I’m submitting it to you all directly, as you’re the primary custodian(s) of these records, and by Law should now proceed to fulfill the request.
Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
A. Please provide the names and salaries of all current H2GO (Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer) employees as of the present day [on the date the query is performed]. I consider the term “employee” to apply to any full-time or part-time employee, staff, board of commissioners, manager, elected official, etc. Please include the following:
1) First / Last name
2) Position / Title / Department
3) Date of hire
4) Salary [include hourly wage, hourly rate, or annual salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee]
5) Total hours of overtime worked from August 01, 2025 through February 26, 2026.
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format.
B. Please provide the names and salaries of all H2GO (Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer) employees who were working at any point during the month of May 2025. I consider the term “employee” to apply to any full-time or part-time employee, staff, board of commissioners, manager, elected official, etc.
To clarify – this request is not limited to "current employees" who happen to have also been working back in May. I'm looking for a list of all people who were employees of H2GO at any point in May 2025. Please include the following:
1) First / Last name
2) Position / Title / Department
3) Date of hire
4) Salary [include hourly wage, hourly rate, or annual salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee]
5) Total hours of overtime worked from May 15, 2025 through May 23, 2025.
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format.
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to “inspect”, nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
