(February 2026) Request for Town of Holly Ridge, NC Government: Current Town Manager employment contract, salary, and benefits.

Good afternoon Margaret, Heather, Chuck, (Records Officer / Custodian(s) of these Records),

I reviewed your records request form at https://hollyridgenc.org/DocumentCenter/View/290/Public-Information-Request-PDF. However, my request literally does not fit into the form, so I cannot submit it to you in your preferred format. Therefore, I’m submitting it to you all directly, as you are the primary custodian(s) of these records, and by Law should now proceed to fulfill the request.

Please provide the electronic copy of the current employment contract for the Town of Holly Ridge, NC Town Manager. Additionally, if it is not already indicated within the contract, please provide their current salary and any benefits they receive.

I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to “inspect”, nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record.     I apologize if I’m not being clear enough. I’m asking for a document or record (if one exists) that clearly specifies the exact benefits your current Town Manager is receiving — this is different than a link to any possible benefits that I’ll need to search through on the state website to figure out.

     

    I do not see the requested info clearly spelled out within their contract. Can you please provide answers to the following? Here is an example of responses I’ve received from other entities:

     

    – Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid dependent coverage paid monthly ($xxx.xx per month x 12 months = $x,xxx per annum);
    – A take home vehicle is provided;
    – There is no car allowance;
    – There is no housing allowance; and
    – There is no cellular phone allowance.

    – For example: travel allowance – No

    – cell phone stipend (if relevant), Town Provided

    – other benefits such as health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, contributions to 401k or state retirement provided etc. You will find those in the link I provided to the NC State Health Plan. I wanted to be as inclusive as possible. Additionally, more detail is included in the contract I provided.
