City of Asheville Submitted: January 20, 2023 | Updated: February 15, 2023

(January 2023) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: Employee vacancies / unfilled positions on 01/20/2020 and 01/20/2023.

Hello City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html

Please provide the staff and employee vacancy rate at the City of Asheville on 01/20/2020 and 01/20/2023. I’d like to know what specific staff positions were unfilled (vacant), and in which departments, at each of those times. I’d also like to know the total number of staff positions unfilled (vacant) at each of those times.

If it is not possible to query the info in that way, then please specify -- and provide any responsive records “as of 01/20/2023.”

If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.

I am not requesting to come in person to inspect, nor to obtain printed copies of, electronic records. In accordance with NC Public Records Law, I’m requesting explicitly that all responsive records be provided via an electronic medium / format (in which the records should already exist), such as an email, file share, google drive folder, mailed flash drive if necessary, etc.

** I do not have any additional or further clarifying info to provide other than what you see in the message above. If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law.**
