Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Please provide the following public employment data for all current Alexander County, NC employees. Please provide data that is accurate up to the last payroll period, and please do NOT include the recent (or upcoming) 5% COLA increase in this data:
1) First and last name
2) Position, title, department
3) Brief job description
4) Full time or part time designation
5) Pay grade, hourly rate, annual salary
6) Additional wages or compensation, i.e. fuel allowance or other
7) Date of last promotion or job description change/revision
8) Date of last payroll change (other than the COLA all employees received)
9) Number of years at their current position.
10) Number of years employed with Alexander County Government.
11A) Additionally, please indicate all employees who perform dual roles as a fill-in or other role outside of their job description.
11B) Please indicate those who have work-from-home time with their position.

The attached spreadsheet details one time period of the information you requested, prior to COLA, with the date of July 20, 2024.
I am not aware of any method within our financial software to query the 6/23/24 data set and provide what has been asked. The most comparable report produces only a portion of the information requested – it lists the employees who worked during that pay period (instead of a full roster) and it does not provide the job title, pay grade, or hourly rate. I asked our Finance Office to review, and they concurred.
Hopefully the 7/20/24 report will provide the necessary information.

11C) Please Indicate those who work a flex schedule.”It was just brought to my attention, and on further review I believe the wage info you sent me on August 13, was pay data that was effective on July 22nd (which included the COLA pay increase). I apologize if my initial request was unclear. I was asking for wage information prior to the 5% COLA.
With this in mind – I’d like to ask that you please reopen my request.
Can you please provide the list of employees again with their job title, pay grade, and hourly pay rate – for both the pay period ending 06/23/24 (the last check prior to the start of the new fiscal year), as well as for the pay period ending 07/21/24 (the last check prior to the COLA increase)? If for some reason it’s not possible to query the data in that manner, then please let me know.
