(June 2022) Multi-part request for IC Imagine Charter School: Possible rental agreement, and all emails 01/01/22 to 06/30/22

Hello IC Imagine K-12 Public Charter School (Records Officer),

I'd like to make multi-part public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html

Related to IC Imagine Charter School and possible financial (rental) agreement with Elevation Church.

A. I believe there is a rental agreement / contract between “IC Imagine (a public charter school)” and “Elevation Church”, in which the Church is renting the School to use on Sundays for church services.

Please provide the current rental agreement, as well as the rent sum.

B. Please provide all emails exchanged between all IC Imagine accounts and Elevation Church, during the specific time period of 01/01/2022 through 06/30/2022. This request is not keyword or subject specific. I’d like “all emails”.

In accordance with NC Public Records Law, I’m requesting explicitly that all responsive records be provided via an electronic medium / format (in which the records should already exist), such as an email, file share, google drive folder, mailed flash drive if necessary, etc.

    Not really. I know some parents were making a fuss about it on one of their facebook groups, but no one has asked me anything about it at all. They have only been leasing for a few weeks. We had a different church leasing for the past 1.5 years and no one has ever said anything about that either.

     

    I will get everything together and send over as we are able.

    I represent IC Imagine and they shared your records request with me. The school is currently on summer break and will respond when they return.  As you know, there is not specific time set forth in North Carolina law, but the school will respond as promptly as possible in compliance with the statute.  Take care.
