Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Please provide the names and salaries of all Rutherford County, NC employees as of February 01, 2026. To clarify – this request is not limited to “current employees” who happen to have also been working at the start of February. I'm looking for a list of all people who were employees on February 01. Please include the following:
A. First / Last name
B. Position / title / department
C. Date of hire
D. Salary [include hourly wage, hourly rate, or annual salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee]
Ideally, I’d like to receive this info in an Excel or other machine-readable format.
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to “inspect”, nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **

Thank you for clarifying that the salary data for each employee does not begin until page 72.
As is, it is very cumbersome to review this document, trying to parse out what salary on what page, may cooorespond with a specific employee on any other pageo fthis document.
Can you please please resend the document as an Excel file, as requested — and list the employee salary data next to each employee?
Alternatively, if you’re unable to do that — are you able to “hide” any of the uncessary columns on this PDF document you’ve sent (for example: “Site Loc”), so that the salary data field will fit onto the same line as the employee position / name?

Regarding your records request form link. Once again, I’d like to note that the RCNCS website does not currently list that URL / form anywhere. Prior to submitting my request, I performed a search on your site for “records request”, “public records”, and “public records request” — just to make sure there was not already a contact form or other method that was preferred.
You’ve recently stated that this form is your preferred format for receiving records requests. However, please note that it is not required by Law that anyone who wants to send a public records request has to do so in your preferred format.
My suggestion is that you post that form to your website, in a manner that is easily searchable, and prominent, so that future requesters can easily locate it on your site.
