(March 2020) Request for Mecklenburg County, NC inmate releases “to avoid cell-block outbreak of COVID-19”

Hello Mecklenburg County, NC Sheriff's Department,

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information. The responsive records should include the timeline of 03/17/2020 - 03/19/2020:

Please provide the total number of inmates released early, by the Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Department, to avoid cell-block outbreaks of COVID-19.

Please include the race and age of each inmate released early to avoid cell-block outbreaks of COVID-19, and the charge each inmate released early to avoid cell-block outbreaks of COVID-19 were incarcerated for at the time of their release.

    For the dates of 3/17-3/19 there were no COVID-19 signed bond modification releases. Those did not begin until 3/20. More than happen to update your request with new dates if you have them.
