(March 2024) Request for Onslow County, NC Government: List of all employee “exits” from the Human Resources Department. From 01/01/2020 – present day
Good afternoon Kevin, David, Jill, Finance, (or Custodian(s) of these records),
Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
The type of basic employment info I’m seeking is part of the "public personnel file" for government employees (which typically includes things like employee name, salary, date of hire, dates of any promotions / demotions / dismissals / transfers / separations / suspensions etc. , and a general description or "reason" for each type of change).
Please provide all “exits” from the Onslow County Human Resources Department, along with the reason for leaving the department (for example -- “termination” , “transfer” , “separation” etc.) during the period of 01/01/2020 through the present day [date the query is performed]. Please include each employee’s Name, Position / Title, as well as a General Description / Reason, and Date, for each of these types of events.
If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
