I’d like to make a public records request for the following information concerning Buncombe County Sheriff’s office new badges. Please provide the most responsive results as of the date the query is performed:
1. Number of new badges received
2. Number of badges on order
3. Cost per badge
4. Total cost for any expenses relating to new badges to include, but not limited to: design, metal badges, cloth badges/patches, embroidered badges, etc.

So far we have received 329 new badges and we currently have 19 on order as of 6/23/20.
The cost per badge is $100, but we placed an order for 268 badges and the cost for those was $90 due to the quantity ordered.
Sheriff Miller used Drug Forfeiture funds to pay for the badges.
The set-up/Die Cast Fee for the badges was $2,350.
Our new patches cost $2,380. We waited to order the new patches until our existing supply had been used, so this cost was accounted for in
our FY20 budget.Aaron
