(May 2021) Request for Jackson County, NC Schools Deputy Superintendent contract and references 04/20/21

Hi Jackson County, NC Schools (Records Officer),

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:

1. Please provide incoming Deputy Superintendent Dr. Ayers' employment contract as of 04/20/21 (or on the date the query is performed).

2. Please provide a list of all Dr. Ayers' references, and reference checks, as part of the hiring process. I'm looking for names only.

    You will find Dr. Dana Ayers Superintendent Contract. I will point out that she is our new Superintendent, not Deputy Superintendent. Also, references and reference checks are a part of Dr. Ayers’s confidential personnel information. Only a contract is a public record as outline in NC Gen. Stat. 115C-320.
