Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which is being made in accordance with NC Public Records Law.

** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via an electronic medium / format (in which the copy of this record should already exist).
I do not have any additional or further clarifying info I wish to provide to narrow this request. If it is unclear or if you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
Please provide employee names and salaries for ALL current full-time and part-time employees of Brunswick County, NC Government. As of 05/24/2023 or present day [date the query is performed]. Please include the following:
1) Employee’s first / last name.
2) Employee’s current job position / title / department.
3) Employee’s date of hire.
4) Employee’s current salary.
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format, if possible.

** On a personal note -- I'd like to suggest that up-to-date salary data is proactively made “public” on the County’s website or a data dashboard, so that it does not have to be obtained via public records requests. It is in the public interest to provide this type of info, and it would also help to reduce staff time to fulfill requests.

The requested information is effective today, May 25, 2023. Full-time employees on one tab and the part-time employees are on another.
Full-time salaries are reported as an annual base salary, which is calculated by taking the employee’s hourly rate and using a 40-hour workweek schedule (hourly rate x 40 x 52 or 2,080 hours). Many staff in the Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and Utilities work 12-hour shifts.
Part-time salaries are reported as an hourly rate.
