(May 2024) Request for Lincoln County, NC Government: Gross earnings with no reductions, for all employees working in the 2023 calendar year.
Good evening Brittany, Deanna, Davin, (or Records Officer / Custodian(s) of these records),
Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
Throughout 2022, 2023, and 2024 you fulfilled many requests from me (Sunshine Request) asking for basic employee salary data such as name, hire date, position, and salary. Most recently, you completed a request for that data again on March 25, 2024. Thank you!
The list of salaries you provided on March 25th [file name: Lincoln-County-Employees-as-of-3.25.24.xlsx] provides good base salary info, as it shows “hourly rate” and the “annual pay” for each employee.
I would now like to request that you please please provide me with a list of each employee’s “gross earnings with no reductions” (IE: Box 3 on W-2, Social Security Wages) for all Lincoln County, NC employees for the 2023 year (01/01/23 - 12/31/23). I am requesting this info to help review earnings including all supplements, differentials, incentives, additional duty, longevity, overtime and any other pay. Please include the following:
1) Employee first / last name
2) Gross Earnings for 2023
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel, PDF, or other machine-readable format. If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.
