Over Policing by the LAPD

I’d like to know average officer staffing per capita. That is # of policemen per citizens in the “downtown ” and “metropolitan” areas of Los Angeles PD.

    We have received the following information from the LAPD Personnel Division:

     

    As of 7/2/18, there were 394 sworn assigned to Central Area and of that, 313 are police officers. We do not track staffing per capita.
