Hello Jackson County, NC Sheriff's Office,

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:

1) Please provide any and all correspondence, including but not limited to emails, both internally and with the public regarding the July 11, 2020 protest. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - September 01, 2020.

2) Please provide any and all correspondence and materials [unspecified] regarding use of outside resources in preparation for and during the July 11, 2020 protest. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - September 01, 2020.

3) Please provide the amount of funds spent by Jackson County, NC Sheriff's Office from May 25, 2020 to present date (that the query is performed), as well as the amount of funds allocated for the future to provide protection for the confederate statue and/or provide security measures at or around the statue. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - Present (day the query is performed).

We are not able to access this information. No other documents would exist as a public record.

The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 – September 01, 2020. No documents would exist as a public record.

3) Please provide the amount of funds spent by Jackson County, NC Sheriff’s Office from May 25, 2020 to present date (that the query is performed), as well as the amount of funds allocated for the future to provide protection for the confederate statue and/or provide security measures at or around the statue. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 – Present (day the query is performed). The Sheriff’s Office has spent $4,623.31 in overtime funds as related to this request. Future funds allocations are not separated or divided out by potential cause.
