** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record should already exist).
I do not have any further clarifying info to provide to narrow this request. If the request is unclear, or if you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law.**
Please provide a list of ALL current Rutherford County, NC employees and their salaries. As of 09/27/2023 or present day (on the date the query is performed). Please include the following:
1) Employee first / last name
2) Position / Title / Department
3) Hire Date
4) Current Salary [including hourly wage or yearly salary]
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or machine-readable format, if possible. If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.

To reiterate:
——–I assume that your last message was just a templated response to a records request. However, I’d just like to note the following again regarding fees:
This is a very simple request for salary data. Kim, yourself, and Rutherford County, NC have previously fulfilled this same type of request for me via email at least four other times over the past few years. In all cases, there has never been any fee for those records. Most recently, you completed this same request for me on March 27, 2023.
The type of basic salary data I have requested (Name, Hire Date, Title, Salary) is very simple for you to provide, is very commonly produced, and is widely considered a matter of public record as part of the public personnel file of employees. Many entities around the state fulfill requests like this via email within 1 week, and in many cases 1 day.
I do not expect there to be any charge for this request, or for any future requests for salary data. Nor am I willing to pay a fee for such a record.
Please let me know the status / anticipated date for the completion of my request.
