  Thank you for asking.

   

  I do not need to know the physical capacity (occupancy limits) of buildings / classrooms / spaces at each location. If someone would like to submit a records request for that type of info in the future, they are encouraged to do so.

   

  I interpret “Student Capacity” to mean: “The maximum student enrollment capacity” or “The maximum number of students a school may serve and shall not exceed”. At each of the 9 locations listed.

   

  I will now reword my original request to clarify what is meant by the term “capacity”:

   

  This is a multi-part request related to WS/FC Schools’ numbers of students currently enrolled vs. the student enrollment capacity.

   

  A. Please provide the number of students currently enrolled at each of the following 9 schools in the WS/FC NC School District, as of the present day (date the query is performed):

   

  Piney Grove Elementary , Cash Elementary , Walkertown Elementary , Kernersville Elementary , Kernersville Middle , East Forsyth Middle , East Forsyth High , Atkins High , Petree Elementary

   

  B. Please provide the current “student enrollment capacity” (the maximum number of students allowed to register) at each of those same schools.

  To Whom It May Concern, I wonder if I may ask a clarifying question. Are you inquiring about the actual capacity at each physical location? (main building, pods, trailers etc)? Or are you asking what the enrollment capacity is at each physical location? (If it’s only enrollment information, I can reach out to student assignment).

   

  My contact’s exact wording was this:

   

  Please have the requester designate capacity by either designed (equates to the number of students that can be housed in a school when all spaces designed as standard classrooms are occupied by students) or operating. If designed is preferred, I can try to help with that. If operating is preferred, that will need to be a group effort between the school, HR, and Planning/Construction to best define.
