(April 2022) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: City Council and Staff communications related to “Business Improvement District” 03/31/2020 – present day
Hello City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),
I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Related to Asheville City Council and Staff communications on a Business Improvement District.
Please provide all communications (emails, text messages, voicemails, calls logs) on city-owned or personal accounts and devices, sent to and sent from Asheville City Council Members, City Manager, City Staff, related to any discussion of, research of, or proposal for a Business Improvement District or similar entity.
Please provide all responsive records requested during the specific time period of March 31, 2020 through present day (date the query is performed).
Please include all .PDFs, files, attachments, videos, hyperlinks, photos, etc. that are indicated within the responsive records.
For example: A .PDF that is an attachment within an email or text record, should also be provided as an accompanying file.
Things like emails and text messages already exist in a digital format (electronic medium). Therefore, you should be able to provide those records as requested under NC Public Records Law. You should also be able to provide these records in an electronic format such as Google Drive link, Dropbox folder, emailed response, .PDF, CD / Flash drive (if necessary), or other electronic format.
