City of Asheville Submitted: April 8, 2022 | Updated: September 2, 2022

(April 2022) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: City Council and Staff communications related to the “Manager’s Report” presentation given on January 11, 2022 at City Council.

Hello City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html

Please provide all communications (emails, text messages, voicemails, calls logs) on city-owned or personal accounts and devices, sent to and sent from Asheville City Council Members, City Manager, City Staff, and Asheville Police Department Personnel, related to the “Manager’s Report” presentation given on January 11, 2022 at City Council by City Manager Debra Campbell, City Staffer Emily Ball, and Asheville Police Department Capt. Mike Lamb.

Please provide all responsive records requested during the specific time period of December 17, 2021 through present day (date the query is performed).

Please include all .PDFs, files, attachments, videos, hyperlinks, photos, etc. that are indicated within the responsive records.
For example: A .PDF that is an attachment within an email or text record, should also be provided as an accompanying file.

Things like emails and text messages already exist in a digital format (electronic medium). Therefore, you should be able to provide those records as requested under NC Public Records Law. You should also be able to provide these records in an electronic format such as Google Drive link, Dropbox folder, emailed response, .PDF, CD / Flash drive (if necessary), or other electronic format.

** If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **

Thank you for your assistance!

Good afternoon City of Asheville Public Records (and Brad CCed),

I’m following up on the request above [(April 2022) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: City Council and Staff communications related to the “Manager’s Report” presentation given on January 11, 2022 at City Council.].

The request has not moved from position #10 in the City’s “Email Search Queue” in the past 20 days (since July 06). Can you please clarify any reason for the delay, as well as the newly anticipated date of completion for the request (first sent to the City on April 11, 2022)?

I will plan on following up again one more time at the end of the month, if I don’t hear back before then.

    Thank you!

    The Sunshine Request Team
