(April 2023) Request for City of Asheville, NC Government: All text messages between Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce and Asheville City Council, Mayor, City Manager, Assistants to the Mayor and Manager. 12/01/2021 – 01/31/2022.
Hello City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),
I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.

This request is related to text messages between the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Asheville. This request is NOT subject or keyword specific.
Please provide ALL text messages exchanged between any or all Staff of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Board Members of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, and any or all of the following parties at the City of Asheville: City Council Members (including the Mayor), the City Manager, any assistants to the Mayor, any assistants to the City Manager. During the time period of 12/01/2021 through 01/31/2022.
To clarify – I’m seeking text messages that include at least one member of Council or any of the City Staff members listed above, as either a sender or recipient of the text.
** Please note: I am not requesting to come in person to inspect, nor to obtain printed copies of, these electronic records. In accordance with NC Public Records Law, I’m requesting explicitly that all responsive records be provided via an electronic medium / format (in which the records should already exist), such as an email, file share, google drive folder, mailed flash drive if necessary, etc.
I do not have any additional or further clarifying info to provide other than what you see in the message above. If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for its denial is justified under NC Public Records Law.**

I’d like to ask that you please review and “reopen” this request.
This request called for:

To clarify – I’m seeking text messages that include at least one member of Council or any of the City Staff members listed above, as either a sender or recipient of the text.
The Google link you’ve sent shows there were “only 5 responsive files” in that two month time period (1 exchange with Debra and Kit, and 4 images of texts between Kit and Sage).
Only 1 of the 4 files with Sage gives any indication of when that text was sent, and I can see that exchange as being August 10, 2021 — which is not responsive to the timeline of my request. I must also assume that the rest of those texts with Sage are from August 10 as well.
Can you please send the correct, responsive records, and also indicate the dates of the files? I cannot look at those texts and tell when they’re sent, and if they’re even responsive to the request.
