    Good Afternoon NC Department of Public Safety – Purchasing Office,

     

    I work for a website called Sunshine Request www.sunshinerequest.com. We built a site that makes it easier to make public records requests by filling out a simple form, and the results of any requests are posted on our site.

     

    We received a follow up message related to a public records request on our site (see here: [December 2019] Request for “DPS Contract” info as of 12/17/19) in which the sender asked that we please forward the request to your department for processing.

     

    We were advised by Ben Fulmer at the NC Department of Administration that their office was “not able to find the contract requested” without a “bid number” and that “It is possible that this contract was issued directly by the Department of Public Safety” purchasing division.

     

    If you could please give us a rough estimate of when you think this request will be completed we can plan on following up again around that time. If you are not the appropriate contact to get this request completed then please let us know who to get in touch with.

    Unfortunately we were not able to find the contract requested. If the requester does come across a bid number in the future then we would be happy to take another look.

     

    It is possible that this contract was issued directly by the Department of Public Safety. If that’s the case then the contract would reside with their purchasing division. I have included a link to their website below.
