Editor’s Note 12/16/20: We recently Completed an August 2020 records request for similar information (found here) that asked for:
1) Current roster of all APD personnel, including all available public info, such as name, date of hire / promotion / demotion and salary, as of 08/06/20.
2) The same – (Roster list, and other public information), as of May 30th, 2020, and also June 15th, 2020.”
In that case, the City indicated that,
“After talking further with our HR department, we have determined there is no way to create this record without extensive staff time spent manually compiling the information to create a record. Therefore, pursuant to N.C. General Statute § 132-6.2 (e), we do not have any records responsive to this request. I encourage the requester to use the Open Data Portal to find current information. They can click on “Department” to sort alphabetically and police employees start on page 62.”
We anticipate that the City may likely apply this same reasoning to the new request (above), but just wanted to note that for the sender.
