I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
If you’re not the appropriate party to contact about the request, please provide the correct name and email address of whom I should send it to. If you could please give us a rough estimate of when you think this request will be completed we can plan on following up again around that time. I will follow up again at the end of the month if I don’t hear anything back from you before then.
Here are the details of the request:

Message: “Hello Kings Mountain, NC City Government (Records Officer) (and City Manager, City Clerk),
I’d like to make a multi-part public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law. Ref: https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
1. Please provide all of Mayor Scott Neisler’s [as well as any members of his office], communications (emails, texts, phone etc.) and meetings records possibly related to the Catawba Casino. During the specific time period of 12/16/15 through 01/31/16.
Specifically — Please provide all responsive records during the specified time period which match any and all of the following criteria:
A. Communications, or records of meetings with, any of the following persons:
– Trenton (Trent) Testa
– James (Jim) Testa
– Wallace Cheves
– Darrell Hardin
B. Emails that contain at least one of the following terms:
– Casino
– Catawba
– Sky Boat
– Skyboat
– CHT Enterprises
– Blue Sky Companies
– Jackpot Gaming
– Roadside
2. Please provide all of Mayor Scott Neisler’s [as well as any members of his office] communications (emails, texts, phone etc.) related to Neisler Brothers Inc. During the specific time period of 09/24/20 through 01/19/21.
Specifically — please provide any and all communications during the specified time period that contain at least one of the following terms:
– Neisler Brothers
– Neisler Bros
** For all items requested above – Please provide all emails in a .PDF format so that they can easily be opened / viewed.
As relates to emails – please provide any .pdfs, other files, attachments, videos, hyperlinks, etc. that are indicated or referenced within the responsive records. For example: A .pdf that is an attachment within an email, should also be provided as a file along with the responsive emails. Or, a link should be provided so that the file can be opened.
If the records are ultimately too large to send via emailed file share, I’d ask that you please create a public Google Drive folder / link or some other file format to transfer the files electronically.
