(July 2020) Request for Jackson County, NC “Confederate Monument/Statue” info as of 07/15/20

Hello Jackson County, NC Government (and Attorney’s Staff),

I’d like to make a public records request for the following information:

1. Please let me know who currently owns the Jackson County, NC confederate monument / statue (located in Sylva, NC near the old courthouse) as of 07/15/20. Was ownership ever transferred to Jackson County?

2. Please provide a clear chain of title from the year 1910 through 07/15/20 for the Jackson County, NC Confederate Monument (located in Sylva, NC near the old courthouse).

If possible, please deliver this chain of title in a PDF format. Please provide the most responsive records as of 07/15/2020.
