Please reply promptly to the following multi-part public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html

The type of basic salary data I’m requesting is simple to provide, is very commonly produced, and is widely considered a matter of public record as part of the public personnel file of school employees. Many NC school systems fulfill requests like this via email in 1 week, and in many cases 1 day. You have also fulfilled this request for me before.

A1. Please provide the names and salaries of all current Employees / Staff / Faculty working at Franklin County, NC Schools as of the present day [on the date the query is performed]. Please include the following:

1) Employee first / last name
2) Date of hire
3) Position / title / department
4) Salary [including hourly wage, hourly rate, or salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee]

A2. For each employee, please also provide any pay differentials that employee receives.

Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format. If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.

    The internal process of approval for data sharing requires your submittal of your request through our Director of Communications.
    This streamlines the process and allows Mr. Mcintosh to make contact with the appropriate staff members to fulfill your request if we are indeed able to do so. As you can see, you have copied 4 staff members on this email requesting information that IF properly assigned, 1 person can accommodate. We do not have the staffing resources nor the time to allow 4 employees to work on the same project.

    I do not believe that by Law it is necessary for me to “resubmit” the request using that form (particularly because it was already submitted directly to the custodian(s) of these records), in order for you to process it.

     

    However, as a courtesy and in order to move things along without delay — I have resubmitted my request again as of 5:33pm today, using the form at the link you’ve provided.
