Hello again Tax Office (Wendell, Aaron, John, and/or Rowan County, NC Records Officer),

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.

** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to inspect, nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via an electronic medium / format (in which the copy of this record should already exist).

I do not have any additional or further clarifying info I wish to provide to narrow this request. If it is unclear or if you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **

This request is related to “Rowan County, NC. Wendell R. Main (Tax Assessor) and tax evaluations”.

Of the 52,265 residential properties located in the County of Rowan and sent Rowan County Tax Assessments Evaluations — Please provide the address of all residential properties who received a tax assessment reduction, as well as the amount of that reduction. During the specific time period of 03/01/2023 through 04/30/2023.

I am NOT asking to receive names of individuals or other personally identifying information. Only the addresses and reduction amounts.

Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format, if possible.

    Can you please clarify what the headings SITUS, WEN, APRTOT, WEN, APRTOT are meant to represent in each column title of the spreadsheet?

     

    I’m clear that SITUS means something like, “the location of property or an item for legal purposes”. However, I do not know what the other headings are abbreviations for specifically.
