I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:

Please provide a list of all Transylvania County, NC Sheriff's Department misconduct findings among officers within their agency over the past 10 years. Specifically, during the time period of October 30, 2010 to present day [date the query is performed].

The list should also include the following: Nature of the misconduct, year, please state whether terminated or retained.

Names are not being requested due to privacy.

The overall “Fulfilled Status” of a request may not always match the individual statuses of a request’s various activities / updates listed below the request. For example:

If the same request was made to both Buncombe County and Asheville City Governments within one request, this is treated as two requests, and it’s possible that one entity’s request statuses could get marked as “Completed,” while the Overall Status of the request is still marked as “Government Processing Request.”

This just means that Sunshine Request is waiting on the rest of the results before we can mark the request as fully “Completed” overall.

If at any time you would like to track the status of your request, please search for it via the “Search box” or list of requests on this page. Any updates we receive will be posted on our site as soon as we are able.

We built a site that makes it easier to make public records requests by filling out a simple form, and the results of any requests are posted on our site. This allows citizens to learn more about our local government, while saving staff from having to fulfill duplicate requests. If you have any questions about the project, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to answer.

     

    We received a request for information that may be available in your office. If you are not the appropriate contact, please let us know who to get in touch with instead. Additionally, if you can also please provide a rough estimate as to when the request will be completed. We will plan on following up again at the end of this month if we don’t hear back before then.
