I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
I was told by the City of Asheville Government to contact you directly to assist with this request, but if you’re not the appropriate party to contact about the request, please provide the correct name and email address of whom I should send it to.
Please confirm receipt to let me know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. I will plan on following up again around the end of the month if I have not heard back before then.

Message: “Hi City of Asheville, NC Government (Records Officer),
I’d like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law.
Regarding the Housing Authority of the City of Asheville (HACA):
Please provide a copy of each letter sent from HACA to tenants informing them that HACA had failed to pay rent on the tenant’s behalf. The responsive records requested should include the specific time period of 01/01/2021 through Present day (date the query is performed).
** Please do not include any personally identifiable information about tenants (such as name, individual home / email address, phone #, etc).
I would prefer to receive these documents in an electronic PDF format, if possible.
