[See Editor’s Note ]: Resubmitting (NC County) Buncombe County schools incident report 2013 through 2018

Hello Buncombe County Schools,

I would like to resubmit the following records request called “NC County Schools incident reports 2013 through 2018” (https://www.sunshinerequest.com/records_request/nc-county-schools-incident-reports-2013-through-2018/). The request asked for:

“Information pertaining to disciplinary incident reports, for the 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2017/18 school years at: Fairview Elementary, WD Williams Elementary, Black Mountain Primary, and Black Mountain Elementary.

I would like for the information provided to include the date of the incident, the incident number, students grade, behavioral codes, disciplinary actions taken, and the location of incident.”

I’d like to resubmit the request for the following reasons:

1. No personally identifiable information has been requested - FERPA protects students personally identifiable information (name, student ID, social security number...)

2. All Buncombe County Schools post this information on their websites in the annual School Improvement Plan. I would just like to be provided the data listed as individual incidents instead of yearly totals
