Hello Jackson County, NC Government (Records Officer):

I'd like to make a multi-part request for the following information under NC Public Records Law. My goal is to compare spending and budgets for the prior, current, and upcoming fiscal year:

A1) Please provide Jackson County's line item budget for the fiscal year 21.
A2) Please provide the actual expenses for fiscal year 21 through April 30, 2021.

B) If not already available publicly online - Please provide the fiscal year 20 budget and actuals for the full year.

C) Please provide any draft, or County Manager recommended line item budget, for the upcoming fiscal year 22.

As noted by Kathleen on 06/06/21:

“Salaries will not be available until a budget is adopted by the Board of Commissioners, generally mid to late June. You may expect a response to this request in late June or early July.”

And Sunshine Request’s response on 06/17/21:

“Thank you for the update! I’ll plan on following up again in early July.”

Keeping this this in mind – We will send in the new request as usual. However, please note that we anticipate the likely response we get will be that Jackson County won’t process some portions of the request until July when a budget is adopted.
