Good afternoon Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office,
I’d like to make a public records request for information that may be available in your office.
Please confirm receipt to let me know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. I will plan on following up again at the end of the month if I have not heard back before then.
Here are the details of the request:

Message: “Hi Buncombe County, NC Government (Sherrif’s Office),
I’d like to make a public records request for the following information under NC Public Records Law:
1. Please provide the total number of currently vacant positions at the Buncombe County Detention Facility, and Court Security, as of the date the query is performed.
2. Please provide the total number of employees who have ended employment with the Buncombe County Detention Facility, and Court Security, from 01/01/21 – 05/05/21. Please break this info down by reason for leaving (Example: # of “Resignations”, “Terminations”, “Retirements”, etc) if possible. I am requesting numbers only, not names.
