Please understand we:
Are operating in-person and remote only learning in the middle of a pandemic (with every-changing state rules from multiple agencies)
Suffered a very serious cyber attack and we not fully recovered
Lost our Finance Director (we hope temporarily) due to a very serious illness
Are preparing to move our entire office, two times, because the building was sold by the owner and we had a very short time line to relocate.Bill Nolte

We hope you’ve been well.
We’ve received a new public records request via our website www.sunshinerequest.com for information that may be available in your office. Please confirm receipt to let us know the request will begin processing, and if possible, please provide a rough estimate of when the request may be completed. We will plan on following up again around that time.
We’ve learned through our previous correspondences with Haywood County Schools that, “The School System is very willing to respond, but for administrative purposes, this is to request that the person or legal entity requesting please identify themselves. This will assist in determining if the request is valid and prevent responding multiple times.”
Please note that we are not making a FOIA request. We are making a public records request under NC Public records law NCGS 132, under which there is no provision requiring an individual to provide a name or address with a public records request. That being said, if it will help speed along the request we are happy to provide a name and address –– you can consider that this request is made by Patrick Conant, who is the director of Sunshine Request.
