  I did want to let you know that I believe we have found an app that will allow us to view the .msg files. I will let you know at whatever point we’re able to review the request and if we have questions. From there I will mark it as completed once I’ve reviewed the files.

  Good morning,

   

  These files will need to be viewed within an “outlook” application or transcribed/converted or extrapolate from outlook on your end.

   

  Converting these files will be extremely time consuming and will need to be done “one by one” which will be months if not a year before populated if we were to do so.

   

  And if we were to purchase an additional application to accommodate, we will be extending those charges as well unfortunately.

   

  I would also recommend downloading MSG Viewer or Pro or something similar to view these files. And Word can even be used if set to open with a “Word” application if need be.

   

  The original County Manager has left but I will see if someone will be going through these emails to convert but I can tell you that these will not be available any time soon with a manual process.

  I will arrange to get the salary information to you as quickly as possible through our HRM Director Renee Perry (copied on this eMail).

   

  Receipt of my eMails from January through August will take quite a bit of time to allow for redacting of confidential information. Since this will be a manual process, I anticipate it will take a few weeks to organize the public information portion of your request. If you could narrow down any specific topic you wish to receive, that specific information could be provided to you much quicker. To put it in context, I typically receive approximately 300 eMails each day to include listserv information. Many of my eMails have confidential information, thus I will need to review each eMail to determine if it contains any protected information (especially Personnel & Economic Development based information). This will result in well over 30,000 eMails for your review. If that is your intent to receive that many eMails, I’ll be happy to provide. However with that additional information, please let me know if you wish to make any adjustments to your request.
